Books & Brews 2026

Our third annual festive fall fundraiser with have freshly prepared food, raffle and book fair hosted by independent purveyor Charter Books, who will generously be donating a percentage of sales, to benefit the Women's Resource Center! Ticket includes custom artisan pies by W's Wood Fired Pizza, warm mini donuts and toppings bar by Sweet B's Donuts and gourmet flavors of Mooseman's Kettle Corn.

Guests will enjoy browsing for new reads and raffle competition, with chances to win exciting prizes and local experiences! Bring CASH for the raffle.

Non-alcoholic beverages, gluten free and vegan options will be available.

In 2025, the WRC provided services to approximately 1,300 individuals, answered more than 1,100 hotline calls, delivered over 1,700 court advocacy sessions, and continued to offer counseling, housing support, and other critical services throughout Newport and Bristol Counties. These numbers are significant, but what matters most is what they represent: people finding safety, families finding stability, and survivors finding hope. Together, we are helping create a future where every survivor has access to the support they deserve. Our dedicated advocates and providers help navigate the systems and many barriers that victims face when leaving an abusive situation. Our free and confidential services help empower survivors on their journey to finding peace and safety for their families. We are honored to have you as part of this work.
