Thank you to all of our kind and generous donors!

The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) is preparing for our 2023 Adopt-A-Family (AAF) program. Our AAF program assists families who are victims of domestic violence during the holiday season. This can be a very sad and stressful time of the year, especially when resources are scarce.

In 2022, thanks to 32 generous donors, 46 families including 106 children, were able to enjoy a brighter holiday season. We look forward to another successful year of supporting families during the holidays and we hope that you will join us!

Each family’s situation is unique and the needs of the victims and their children are often complex. Victims can suffer for years under the power and control of their abuser. The WRC supports survivors through empowerment, helping to remove barriers and restore independence. Our Gift Card campaign empowers individuals by providing them with the opportunity to thoughtfully choose and personally wrap gifts for their own families. This gift of choice is vitally important to those who have been isolated and powerless for so long.

Monetary donations are encouraged and your generous support is greatly appreciated! It allows us to purchase culturally appropriate gift items for our diverse families.

Plan to mail your gift card donations to Women’s Resource Center, PO Box 3204, Newport, RI 02840 or contact the coordinator to request pick up.
